Where: Georgia Airsoft Field, Athens GA When: Nov. 14-16, 2008 (Camping Friday Nov. 14/WW2 games Saturday 15/ BONUS MODERN SCENARIO FOR SUNDAY 16) Price: $25.00 Our Fall, 2008 WW2 event is going to be one not to be missed. Great props coupled with an excellent mission based scenario will leave you feeling like you are back in the war your grandfather fought! This game will be held at Gerorgia Airsoft's Athens field. This is a MTO themed game, covering operations involved with the beach asualt on Anzio, Italy and the drive to Rome. Uniform Requirements: This is a WWII airsoft event, designed by and for those players who have expressed interest in this type of play. One of the important factors in creating an immerse and enjoyable WWII scenario is the willingness of participants to take on a basic uniform appearance appropriate for the era in question. You must wear an acceptable WW2-inspired uniform and headgear, or risk embarrassing yourself. Players that go the extra mile to produce a good impression will be rewarded with leadership positions and some extra special missions/treats. You MUST have headgear of some kind either soft caps or helmets. Soft caps are fairly inexpensive for either side. Helmets can be somewhat expensive for the Germans however we have run two events at least a year for the last couple years so it is an investment in the future not a one shot deal. If you're not sure what is acceptable, ask! Units Involved Breakdown: We are breaking you guys down according to what impression you go by. Be sure to sign up under the unit you want to go with. Allies Rangers ~ Proper M1 helmet(postwar ok) M41 jacket, wool or HBT pants WW2 web gear, leggings, any kind of combat boots or low boots under your leggings but absolutely no tennis shoes. US WW2 weapon Example of a WW2 Ranger. OD green BDU's, Jeep cap or other WW2 soft cap or M1 helmet, Any weapon .  Axis Falschrimjager(German Paratroopers) ~ In proper FJ smock(any excepted FJ camo Splinter A or B, war era tan and water no Flecktarn no SS camo), soft cap or Jump helmet, Appropriate WW2 German Webgear,WW2 German weapon Example of FJ: Waffen SS ~ Any WW2 SS German camo uniform, Soft cap or German helmet, jack boots or low boots with German gaitors, German WW2 weapon. Example of Waffen SS: Heer(Regular German Army) ~ Again we know most participants will fit into this on the German side. Our usual minimum requirements exist for you guys so it should be easy. You are required to have headgear either soft caps or helmets. Good example of a basic Heer soldat: MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE CHOICES Theses minimum uniform requirements will put you in either the 45th infantry unit or the basic German Heer unit. If you wish to be in the Ranger, 82ndAB, Waffen SS, or Falschrimjager units then you will need to check out the uniform requirements above. If in doubt send me a picture or post on our forums and we can help you decide where you need to be. Allied (US or British) Top and bottom in these color choices. Reproduction or original Allied uniforms OD Green (Not bright green) Khaki/Tan Cocoa Brown British DPM jackets (for British Paras) Axis Top and bottom in these color choices. Reproduction or original Axis uniforms, Gray Black Flecktarn Austrian Peadot San Marco Resistance If you don't feel you can do a uniform or don't have OD you can wear old style civilian clothes. = Button up work shirt, chinos, maybe a vest. We will provide you with an armband either Allied or Axis.  NO modern camo patterns other than specifically listed. NO Tigerstripe, Woodland, ACU, Marpat, etc. Please do not even ask. NO Sweatpants, Led Zepplin T-shirts, or similarly inappropriate modern civilian attire. NO Tactical vests or modern tactical gear (radios, mics, earbuds, GPS, etc).
